Cleveland's church scene reflects its working-class, immigrant heritage — Polish Catholic parishes on the west side, Italian Catholic communities in Murray Hill, historic Black Baptist and AME churches on the east side, and Slovak Lutheran congregations that have survived urban change for over a century.
